Despite a couple of close encounters with power lines at Gossip Corner off Bevmaril Cres. and on Stalker Road, local artist, Alice Rich, and her partner, Adrian Palmer, had their barged home safely delivered to them Thursday morning.
Rich said the home was built by students at a Seattle college, and that she saw it on the Nickel Bros. website (a house barge and haul company) and fell in love with it.
The house was brought by barge to Degnen Bay on Gabriola, and then trucked to its new location on Stalker Road.
