Funds - Good work on the island raising money to help the people in Haiti. The children are having a very tough time.

The ten or so people from the States who went there and tried to take some children away did a very bad thing which frightened many families.

Planning - The review of the local plan is going well. It should have been reviewed many years ago since it is supposed to be looked at every five years.

It’s a good plan and there’s not many changes or additions needed.

Busy Vancouver - Lots of additional people in Vancouver these days to enjoy the Olympics.

British papers have decried the ongoing rain!

Good Idea - Creating a “Clean air” working group would be a good idea. There’s bound to be some smoke when an airtight gets started but it won’t stay once the fire is burning well.

Just wondering - The large development where T & T used to be is coming along.

Many people are asking if a study was done to check out the additional construction. We should be careful not to overbuild and keep in mind that we have more than sufficient shops and services.
